Bennifer Squad 2013

Jennifer lay in one of the squad room bunks, staring at the bottom of the bunk above her. She didn't feel like going home, it was nearly a cold case and there wasn't time for her own comfort. She rolled over as she faced the digital alarm on the table beside her; 3:45am. But she couldn't sleep. Finally she drifted off, dreaming of him...

She awoke when someone sat at the foot of her bed. The clock read 10:45pm. She sighed as she sat upright and realized who was there. Ben Affleck was sitting there, in a white singlet. His toned arms reached out and grasped her shoulders,
"Jen," her began "You haven't been home for days. You need to get your head out of this case. It's cold, you know that."
"I know, Benny... But...I just can't, we need to catch this bastard. I got plenty of rest last night."
"C'mon, I'm driving you back to your apartment." He insisted. J-Lo folded, as always. Pulling a jacket on she followed him downstairs.

By the time they had stopped to get some Chinese takeaway, they didn't reach her apartment until almost midnight. Ben carried the box of noodles, spring rolls, san choy bow, wantons, spicy paper chicken, moo goo gai pan, peking duck and crispy chicken. He put the box on her coffee table and sat down on the couch. "Wanna beer or something?" Jen called.
"Sure, domestic."
She walked into the room with two bottles. Benedict could see her bra through her white tank, he didn't mind. She sat down and they ate. Ben was hungry, but not for Chinese. "Jen," he began "I need to tell you something..." She took a swig of beer and put the bottle down. The dusk of the apartment lights fell on her soft features. Features that were overworked and scarred by a careeer in Bennifer Squad. "..Um..uh.hem-hem.." Ben spluttered, he couln't get the words out. But he didn't need to. Jen lent over and kissed him, he returned the favor and it lasted for what seemed like an eternity of bliss. When they broke, he stared at her. All he could manage to say was "Finally..."

Jen awoke again, this time in her own bed to see her alarm clock shining brightly. 6:45am. "Time to get up" Ben was on the other side of the bed, two cups in his hands. "I made you coffee."
"Thanks." It was only then she realized what had happened.
"Look, Benny, maybe it would be best if the rest of the squad didn't hear about this."
"Mmmmmm..." he nodded his head in agreement and kissed her gently on the mouth. When they broke apart, they got dressed and went to work as normal.

But she got to work, she was as tired as when she left the night before. Laying her head on her desk, she fell into a deep slumber of the cold case files.

"Jen! J-LOOO!" She was wakened by the familiar voice of Sargent Damon, she was back in the squad bunkroom. The clock showed 6:00am. "We gotta lead! C'mon! We gotta get out to the west side, Ice-T and Philip Seymour Hoffman are already there." It took her a moment to realize that her encounter was all a sex dream. A sexy sexy dream.
